NDT Inspector
Description
The candidate must be ARAMCO approved. This Job serves the operational side of the organization's business. NDT (Non-destructive testing) technicians evaluate the physical properties of a material without causing any damage. They will inspect and test the material to find any possible corrosion, cracks, or other imperfections which could alter its performance or integrity
Responsibilities
- Reports to the site supervisor/ superintendent, ensuring the safe, efficient and profitable day-to-day NDT inspection job for our clients.
- NDT Technician Inspection using the following: ARAMCO approved Ultrasonic PCN TKY, Magnetic Particle, Liquid/ Dye Penetrant.
- NDT inspection test items; components, pipework and structural assemblies etc, to establish acceptability to specification
- Prepare and present inspection report. Normal NDT (To be Submitted Daily)
- Ensure that the work area is safe to carry out NDT activities.
- Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required.
- Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification.
- Perform routine equipment / consumable function tests to ensure everything is in good working order. Any issues must be reported directly to supervision.
- Evaluate the results of the test following the applicable specification.
- Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection and all finding noting any limitations/test restrictions is applicable.
- Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires.
- Carry out work following the company's operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements
Qualifications
- Academic: BSc or equivalent
- Technical: Formal training in all NDT methods leading to ASNT/CSWIP/PCN Level 2 Certification, CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector or equivalent at the discretion of AII(M).
Experience & Skills
- Aramco Approved
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in NDT of pressure containing plants preferably in the refinery, chemical or oil & gas processing plants.
- Thorough knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to fabrication and inspection of pressure vessels, piping, heat exchangers, storage tanks, etc.
- Good knowledge of welding techniques, procedures and welding examination
